Ground Joint Interlock Couplings
Ground Joint Interlocking Couplings are designed for medium and high pressure applications as well as severe media such as steam. These couplings have a metal-to-polymer seal so no gasket is needed. The female coupling has a wing nut with special thread. This attaches to a spud adapter, which in turn is NPT male or female threaded. The spud adapter can then be attached to the male hose coupling, or attached to any NPT threaded outlet on equipment. Both the male and female hose ends have a serration for interlocking bolt on clamps to grasp.
